TITLE: BEST AVAILABLE FLOOD HAZARD DATA FTP FOLDER STRUCTURE DATE: JUNE 10, 2013 PURPOSE: DISSEMINATION OF BEST AVAILABLE FLOOD HAZARD DATA The preliminary work map data is an interim product created by FEMA in the development of preliminary Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) which reflect the results of an ongoing coastal flood hazard study for the New York/New Jersey coast. This data supersedes Advisory information. An FTP folder structure was created to support public access to underlying GIS and engineering data for both, Preliminary and Advisory data. FTP FOLDER STRUCTURE AND CONTENTS Contains Advisory flood hazard information for New Jersey Contains advisory base flood elevation PDF maps. Some maps may be superseded by preliminary work map data release. Contains a zip file with shapefiles used for the creation of maps and GIS service. Data may be superseded by preliminary work map data release Contains Advisory flood hazard information for New York. Contains advisory base flood elevation PDF maps. Some maps may be superseded by preliminary work map data release. Contains a zip file with shapefiles used for the creation of maps and GIS service. Data may be superseded by preliminary work map data release Supersede Advisory information Contains engineering data used for the creation of Preliminary Work Maps Contains PDF reports for coastal field reconnaissance Contains zipped file collecting Still Water Elevation surfaces (Esri Grid format) as well as an interim PDF report of the Storm Surge study. Contains a zipped file collecting wave overland modeling files (CHAMP database and folder containing OUT files) as well as the DEM used in the coastal modeling task. The DEM comes as a compressed self-extractable executable file (*.exe). Contains GIS and PDF map data (if available) Contains a zipped file collecting GIS shapefiles used for the creation of workmaps.
